The Challenge
A trusted healthcare clinic embarked a journey to modernize its systems and scale business operations with a cloud-based Oracle suite. The project aimed to enhance transparency, optimize resource use with automation and predictive tools, ensure precise information with live updates, develop a scalable platform for the next 20 years, provide a user-friendly interface, allow customizations that aren’t overwritten by upgrades, and ensure consistent software performance.

What We Did
We provided an internal Project Manager to oversee multiple business areas under the transformation initiative.
Key activities included:
- Efficient Back-Office Processes: Enabled the client to operate more efficiently with minimal impact on daily supply chain management (SCM) activities
- Clinical Operations: Provided up-to-the-moment access to accurate data required to manage the clinical business enterprise
- Supply Chain and Inventory: Improved inventory accuracy, planning, tracking, warehouse management, and pharmacy inventory planning
- Procurement: Enhanced ordering, forecasting, priority management, and scheduling processes
- Modification and Testing: Identified and tested modifications to SCM daily tasks to enhance the patient experience and automate manual tasks
- Seamless Transition: Ensured a seamless transition to the new system, allowing staff to perform their job functions efficiently

Our Impact
The implementation led to significant improvements including:
- Faster Order and Supply Location: Achieved a faster way to order and locate supplies since the GO LIVE date
- Enhanced Inventory Management: The new Oracle Cloud system provides numerous benefits across procuring medical/surgical supplies, pharmacy supplies (vaccines), and managing all of their inventory
- Streamlined Procurement Process: Items are now requested through Oracle and procured by the client’s buyer. Cycle counts and PAR locations are managed using RF Smart handheld devices
